Manpower offers their Access2Ability to transition people with disabilities into sustainable employment with leading employers nationwide.
Initially launched in San Jose, Calif., the program works together in partnership with community organizations TransAccess, Project HIRED and the California State Department of Rehabilitation. Manpower's Access2Ability program has already enlisted several companies to commit to hiring individuals with disabilities, including Abbott and SVTC Technologies. Access2Ability is ManpowerGroup's national disability employment program. We collaborate with employers, state and federal agencies, professional associations and community-based organizations to recruit talented people with disabilities, including veterans. With a focus on your specific talent resourcing needs we create targeted, local recruitment strategies to identify and place qualified candidates - those with the skills and dedication to support your business objectives.

Walgreens, a model employer of people with disabilities has recently announced that it will be launching an initiative aimed at recruiting, training and hiring people with disabilities for positions at their retail stores. This comes after a highly successful initiative at their distribution centers, which has served as a model for other larger corporations. Through this new pilot program, Walgreens is partnering with local service providers to identify and train people with disabilities for jobs as cashiers and other retail positions. The program is currently in place in Dallas, Houston, Chicago and New York as well as parts of Wisconsin and Connecticut. Broadscope Disability Services formerly known as United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) of Southeastern Wisconsin under Business Advisory Council offers a list of area businesses that are commited to the hiring of people with diverse abilities. UCP offers an Employment Services (ES) program that assists individuals with developmental disabilities in obtaining employment in order to achieve independent lives.
