New Sign P-I-E-N-O Parkinson is a very good source of information for people with Parkinson's Disease and their families. The list of current topics is lengthy, and there is also a database of drugs available, an Answer Center which offers updates on current issues like stem cell research, and a list serve that readers can subscribe to. Email messages can be read on the site or as individual messages via your email server. The current topics cover a huge range of issues dealing with every aspect of PD from diet to relationships, from political debates to humor.

New Sign PatientsLikeMe was founded in 2004 and is a privately funded company dedicated to enabling people to share information that can improve the lives of patients with life-changing diseases. "To make this happen, we've created a platform for collecting and sharing real world, outcome-based patient data and are establishing data-sharing partnerships with doctors, pharmaceutical and medical device companies, research organizations, and non-profits." It first began with a group of patients with ALS, then quickly moved on to those with Parkinson's Disease. Recently added are groups for those with HIV and AIDS. This site is an excellent resource for patient, caregiver, doctor, researcher. Pages include Profile, where patients can keep track of their symptoms and treatments; Patients, an area to seek out other patients with similar symptoms; Forum, a message board; Treatments; Symptoms; Research. There are also pages for doctor visits, and for My Care Team.
