About NHU: Who Do We Serve?

Online Services

Via our internationally accessed website, New Horizons Un-Limited serves individuals with a wide range of disabilities. Visitors have included parents of children with disabilities, young and old, to independent adults that need a push in the right direction. While most visitors come from across the United States, we have welcomed visitors from Europe, Asia, and even Africa, among other areas of the world.

  • Our website receives more than 1.2 million page views from nearly 300,000 visitors on an annual basis.

    Local Programs

Via our local services we serve individuals who, due to their physical or intellectual disabilities are the most isolated and least likely to participate in activities outside of their homes.

Of the adults with disabilities we serve via our local services:

  • A fair number have not completed high school
  • A majority are not college educated
  • Nearly all are unemployed
  • Nearly all live at the poverty level (an annual income of $10,210 or less)
  • Nearly all do not own their own homes

  • Via our local services, we provide social/recreational and training opportunities to several hundred unique individuals within Southeastern Wisconsin on an annual basis.
