Access Technology Computer Redistribution Program

Have outdated Computers lying around collecting dust?

Don't Throw them Away...

 Put them in the hands of people with disabilities! Donate your spare computers today to New Horizons Un-Limited! A non-profit organization, we accept donations of gently used, Pentium II or higher computers, refurbish them and redistribute them back into our local community. All donated equipment will either be used for the training of people with disabilities or will be given directly to people with disabilities for their personal home use.

NOTE: We can pick up computers from individuals and businesses in the Greater Milwaukee Area.

Equipment Requirements

We are looking for Pentium II and Newer (5-7 year old) PCs that offer:

  • A minimum 233 Mhz processor
  • A minimum 1.99 GB Hard Drive
  • CD ROM drive

    We are also in need of the following items:

  • Keyboards
  • Mice
  • Color Monitors (Standard and Large Screen)
  • Hard Drives
  • 56K Modems (Internal PCI)
  • CD/DVD Drives
  • Sound Cards
  • Speakers

    Additional considerations:

  • While we will reformat the hard drives, it is recommended that you remove personal and/or sensitive files from the hard drive.

  • We can only use software if accompanied by the original documentation and media.

  • Keep a list of your donation for your tax records. New Horizons Un-Limited will pick up equipment within the Greater Milwaukee area and provide a thank you receipt.

  • While we will gladly accept monitors in working order, we cannot accept monitors that are known to have defects, as the cost of disposal is prohibitive. If you are unsure of a monitor's condition, please check it before offering it for donation.

  • NHU properly disposes of any non-usable parts. Eliminate waste while opening a world of opportunity to people with lifelong disabilities!
