National
Disability, Abuse & Personal Rights Project is dedicated to the personal rights of children and adults with disabilities, with a mission to prevent abuse of people with disabilities and protect others from abuses that lead to disability.
State Listings
New Jersey
Safety Shield program teaches children, people with disabilities and senior citizens the necessary skills for preventing violence by developing positive self and community awareness. Through hands-on activities and practice, students acquire the five basic skills of conflict avoidance: Getting the Facts, Active Listening, Body Language, Tone of Voice and Brainstorming. The goal of the program is for each individual to develop: positive peer relationships, a sense of belonging, a sense of self-achievement and a sense of security. Texas
All Walks of Life attempts to empower social solutions for individuals with disabilities. They provide community involvement to prevent violence against the disabled. They
have informational links on Dangers, Reports, Resources, Statistics, Definitions, Laws, Prevention and Opportunity.
Safe Place offers Disability Services ASAP (A Safety Awareness Program), which provides preventive education for people with disabilities to increase awareness of domestic and caregiver violence as well as sexual abuse to empower people to protect themselves, and to

Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services (PRS) is intended to protect the physical safety and emotional well-being of citizens of Texas, including children, older adults and people with disabilities. Informational links on the site include About PRS,

Australia
National Disability Service Abuse and Neglect Hotline is a referral service provided by the Australia Department of Family and Community Services that will take reports of abuse and neglect of people with disabilities using government funded services. Anonymous reports will be accepted and the privacy of people reporting abuse will be closely guarded. To report an abusive situation, please call 1800-880-052.
