October 2009 - Ohio - 2009 Veteran and Family "Learning Your Needs" Survey and Multiethnic Advocates for Cultural Competence (MACC) The Ohio Department of Mental Health and the Multiethnic Advocates for Cultural Competence are requesting input from veterans and their families on how the State of Ohio can better provide mental health services to active and retired members of the military and their families. This information, along with a series of regional focus groups, will be used to compile a statewide needs assessment report. January 2009 - Ohio - One Energy Assistance Application offers utility bill reliefHome Energy Assistance Program (HEAP)With one Energy Assistance Application, you may apply for several federally or state-funded energy assistance programs administered by the Office of Community Services: the Home Energy Assistance Program ( HEAP) , the Emergency Home Energy Assistance Program ( E-HEAP), and the Percentage of Income Payment Plan for ( PIPP). The Energy Assistance Application can also be used to apply for the Home Weatherization Assistance Program (HWAP). Under PIPP, you pay 15% of your monthly income to your gas/electric provider. For more information, call HEAP toll-free at (800) 282-0880 during regular business hours (8am-5pm) Monday through Friday.
