Searching for a home for sale bounces you to the National Association of Realtors and this site allows you to search for homes with "handicap features." National Association of Realtors, official website of this association, lists 1.7 million homes and is updated daily. This site offers multiple listing of brokers and links to local offices. Search organizes by price and number of rooms. This site has the "Home Price" check feature which checks the selling prices of the house over the past four years. Browse pictures of homes for sale, neighborhoods, view crime reports and research schools on this site. There are guides to buying a home, a comprehensive guide to realtors, home types, FAQ, financial options, real estate glossary to learn the lingo, finding a lender, contractor and moving services. This site allows you to search for accessible homes with the "handicap feature." When entering your search criteria for a home for sale, scroll down to "Detailed Search Criteria" under "General Home Features" to check "handicap features."
U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) offers a listing of homes for sale on the "Buying a home" section of the site or try Homes for sale where several federal agencies have properties to sell, both single family and multifamily homes. HUD also explains how you can buy a home under these varying agencies. For instance, to buy a HUD home you must contact a real estate broker in your area who is authorized to sell a HUD home (most are.) Your broker will submit the bid for you.
