May 18-20, 2006 - Columbus, Ohio - 36th Annual Ohio Wheelchair Games

The Ohio Wheelchair Sports Association, in cooperation with the City of Columbus Recreation and Parks, the Paralyzed Veterans of America, Buckeye Chapter, and Ohio State University, is proud to sponsor the 36th Annual Ohio Wheelchair Games. The Games feature the following events: USTA tennis, archery, field events, NRA Beeman air gun, track, swimming, weightlifting, bowling, table tennis, bocce ball, and billiards. Competition is open to both children (ages 7-21) and adults (ages 21 and up) who are members of Wheelchair Sport, USA. To learn more about membership, visit their website at www.wsusa.org. January 2006 - Greater Toledo, Ohio - Home ownership options for people with disabilities

Is your credit keeping you from buying your dream home? The Ability Center, in conjunction with Lucas Metropolitan Housing Authority and Neighborhood Housing Services want to offer people with disabilities some home ownership options. During a series of instructional sessions, you will learn:

  • How to Develop a Budget
  • Steps to Take to Repair Your Credit
  • Qualifying for Down Payment Assistance
