New Sign Fall 2009 - Nebraska - Memory Walk for Alzheimers Association of Nebraska, Midlands Chapter

Alzheimers Association of Nebraska, Midlands Chapter serving East/Northeast Nebraska and Southwest Iowa is hosting a Memory Walk this fall on the following dates:

New Sign Fall 2009 - Nebraska - Not Alone, a live talk radio program

Tuesdays - 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Join The Kim Foundation and KCRO Channel 660 AM for Not Alone, a live talk radio program focused on behavioral health and recovery. In an effort to reduce the stigma often associated with mental illness, the show seeks to assure individuals, families, and communities that they are not alone, mental illness affects us all. New Sign Fall 2009 - Nebraska - Beginner Family Sign Classes

Classes begin Thursday, August 20 - Beginner Family Sign Class: communicating with your child(ren) who are deaf or hard of hearing. The class is designed specifically for families with infants and preschoolers. This class will address language and listening strategies as well as sign vocabulary. Classes will be offered in both English and Spanish. Location: Lied Learning and Technology Center, 425 N. 30th St., Omaha, 6:15 - 7:45 PM. Class schedule: August 20, 27; September 3,10, 17, 24.
