November 5-6, 2004 - Anaheim, California - DEAF EXPO 2004 West

In its 12th year, Deaf Expo 2004 West will be in Anaheim, California at 800 West Katella Avenue, next to Disneyland on Friday and Saturday, November 5 and 6, 2004. Deaf Expo is the only non-profit trade show presented from a deaf perspective. It is a place for the deaf and hard of hearing community to mingle with their peers and an opportunity for hearing people to learn about another culture. The exhibits at Deaf Expo 2004 will provide helpful information on services and products relating to education, finance, health, recreation, religion and technology. Deaf Village, a section in the exhibit hall, covers home businesses, arts and crafts and hobbies. During both show days there will be a Deaf World Stage, Sign Language Playhouse for sign language and deaf culture students and Teenage Block for teenagers. Admission is $12 for either day if tickets are purchased before the "Early Bird" deadline and $16 if tickets are purchased after. New Sign September 29, 2004 - San Francisco, California - Ever Widening Circle

Ever Widening Circle is an evening of entertainment by professional performers with disabilities. Each year, the event presents performers from a wide range of talents, from music to dance to comedy to poetry. This year, performers include Fred Burns, a comedian who has spina bifida; Humorist C.J. Jones, who is Deaf; and Light Motion, a physically integrated dance company. The Event's headliner is Grammy Award-winning Jazz Vocalist Diane Schuur. The event will be held on Wednesday, September 29, 2004 at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco.
