Community


Community is what NHU is all about. We hope that by providing information you will be able to help yourself to resources and services available in your local area. By using the NHU Community Discussion Board or Share Your Knowledge!, there is an opportunity to share your ideas and experiences with others that all may benefit. By participating in NHU, you may find yourself part of a community with similar objectives, experiences and challenges.

There are hundreds of community organizations and services available ranging from disability specific to non-specific resources that offer support and advocacy, as well as to promote community involvement for people with disabilities. If you find that you are lacking information or resources, check out the following list. More than likely, there is help in the community for you.
