American Project Access Network is the non-profit organization that supports the development of local Project Access programs. Project Access is a national program that seeks to increase access to primary and specialty care for those who don't qualify for government health programs. Project access maintains a database of local physicians that provide their services to low-income, uninsured residents of the community free of charge. Financial Assistance Network is an online resource that offers booklets for purchase and download that contain helpful information on such topics as free and low-cost prescription drugs, free and low-cost health care, free and low-cost dental care, free and low-cost nursing care and more.
Karis Group is a for-profit corporation that works to mediate between patients and providers to lower / eliminate an individual's medical bills. They offer limited FREE assistance to individuals. Another option if your bills exceed $5,500.00 at a single facility is to contact Christian Financial Ministries, a partner of The Karis Group.
