January 11, 2001 - Arizona - HB2245: Freedom to Work Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) Buy-In for Individuals with Disabilities

Representative Knaperek has introduced this bill in the House and Governor Hull has included an appropriation in her budget. The bill allows individuals to work and earn up to 400% of federal poverty level by buying-in or paying a share of the premium up to 5% of their income. February 27, 2001 - Update: HB2245 has passed the House with 60 ayes and 0 nays and is now going through the Senate. For more information visit HB2245. Senator Cirillo and Nichols introduced this same bill into the Senate (SB1291). This bill passed the senate 25 ayes and 3 nays. It is now headed for the House. For more information, visit SB1291.
